Since from our beginning in 1999, Kadamba has been involved itself for the socio-economic development of our women folk. Hence, we had initiated multi-dimensional approach for their welfare as well as empowerment activities.
We had started our service from formulating SHG’s in remote rural villages, by providing proper training and financial help through our micro finance initiatives.
In between, we realized that, the women folk, especially from the downtrodden society the expectations were something deferent. In our approach, we could observe that, they were very concerned about their security and need some extra care for their emotional existence.
Ultimately Kadamba has stepped in to “Women’s Helpline.”
Kadamba foundation has started this family counseling center in 2005 at Kumta (Uttara Kannada District), with the help of Women & Child development department of Karnataka government.
Under this, Kadamba guides people who are going through tough times and supports them to re-create their lives, particularly for suffered women.
Now, we are really proud to say that, our centre is the best counseling centre in our region.
